Scindapsus Pictus, 'Argyraeus' (Satin Pothos)

Scindapsus, pictus 'argyraeus'  is a gorgeous trailing plant. The medium sized oval leaves are dark green with silver spots and have a satin sheen. That's where it gets it's common name of "Satin Pothos". Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus is commonly confused with Scindapsus Pictus Exotica because they both have silver patterns on their leaves. You can identify Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus because its leaf has a higher color contrast because its variegation appears more sparse (green with silver spots) and Scindapsus Pictus Exotica's leaf curl at the edges and is completely silver except for the central part.

PLANT CARE
  • Light Requirements: Loves sunny but indirect bright light.
  • Water: Even though this plant isn't drought tolerant, they are not so picky plants when it comes to watering which makes them good plants for beginners. Water every time the top inch of the soil is dry which will be about once a week.
  •  Soil: America’s Gardens houseplant soil.
  •  Temperature: 65-85 degrees.
  •  Flowering: Insignificant, un-showy blooms.
  •  Re-Potting: Every 2 years.
  •  Disease & Pest: A relatively hardy plant, and pests rarely affect its growth. Typically, scale insects and spider mites are the two main insects affecting the plant’s growth.
  •  Toxicity: All parts are poisonous if ingested. The sap can irritate the skin. To keep your pets or children safe, place the plant on a high shelf out of their reach.
