Insects that chew or suck on the treated plants end up eating the insecticide. This particular product uses what's called Imidacloprid as the systemic insecticide (made to mimic nicotine). Fertilome Azalea\/Evergreen Food Plus with Systemic provides much needed nourishment of 9-15-13 to your plants, and systemic protection against many common pests in one application. This is a granule application within the soil so it is water proof and cannot be washed off. Ferti-Lome Azalea\/Evergreen Food Plus with Systemic will provide protection for up to two months all while encouraging strong plant growth and gorgeous flowers.
