Crocodile Fern

Microsorum musifolium ‘Crocodyllus’, looks like the skin of a big old crocodile; thus the name Crocodile Fern. This fern is an unusual tropical fern displaying long, green, strap-like leaves bearing a crocodile skin pattern on the top surface. Upright, arching fronds form a dense clump. They are native to Southeast Asia and Australia where they are found growing epiphytically on trees in warm, brightly lit and humid jungles. At maturity, this fern will grow about 16" tall and wide.
