Beneficial Predators
Unfortunately, spring is the time for garden predators an it's definitely time now to try to avoid and control those infestations.
Here at America's Gardens, in an effort to move more toward beneficial and natural alternatives to chemical use, you may see sachets hanging from several of our plants that are being sold. Believe it or not, these beneficial contain predatory mites (don't worry when you hear "mites" in this case). These are safe preventative control for nuisance whiteflies, thrips and bad other pesty mites and are heavy hitters for room, humid growing areas which is perfect for our zone 7 & 8 while temps are in the 80's and known to be very active.
Additionally, we've been supplied with some awesome new live, healthy lady bugs and while in stock, they're available for sale. While specialized mites work like scalpels for specific problems, Ladybugs are your broad-spectrum cleanup crew. We only provide 100% native US species. Unlike invasive "look-alikes," our ladybugs are a natural part of our ecosystem, evolved to handle our climate and hunt our local pests. We ship them in a state of "hibernation" so they arrive with a full tank of energy, ready to wake up and protect your canopy.
