Appalachian Spring Dogwood Tree

The Appalachian Spring dogwood is specifically bred for enhanced hardiness and disease resistance. Appalachian Spring was found at the Camp David Presidential Retreat in Maryland and specifically cultivated by the University of Tennesse. A relatively fast and upright grower (15-20' both tall and wide at maturity), this small ornamental tree produces large white bracts that show splendidly against green foliage, which turns reddish-purple in autumn.
