Roselle Hibiscus or Hibiscus sabdariffa is also known as Red Hibiscus, Red Sorrel or Asian Sour Leaf, is a tropical perennial that isn't frost hardy in our zone but can be grown in cooler climates. Roselle is an African heirloom yielding heaps of tart, ruby calyces used in preserves, teas, medicinal applications, and much more. Enjoy Roselle’s tasty leaves as you would spinach. Perennial plants can reach 6’ tall.
Care

Hardy in zones 8-11, hibiscus do best in full sun. Best in moist, rich, soil with good drainage. 

Growth Habit
Roselle reaches 4–8 ft tall and 3–4 ft wide. It is known for its shrub-like growth, resembling okra, with woody-based stems, dark green/maroon foliage, and bright red, edible calyces that are heavily produced in late summer/fall as days shorten.
Toxicity
Considered safe for pets and deer resistant.

Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
