Description
Espoma Garden Gypsum is an all natural pelletized mineral that can help loosen clay soils, minimize salt damage to plants, and help promote root growth. Gypsum can help loosen clay soils and improve soil structure by transforming fine, tightly packed particles into larger clumps that make the soil more porous, allowing air, water and nutrients to penetrate the soil more easily. Gypsum is a non-toxic mineral that contains high levels of calcium & sulfur.
Gypsum doesn't change the soil's pH like lime does, it will reduce sodium levels in soil so it is often used as a sprinkled product on pet pee patches on lawns, etc. to try to neutralize the surface level soil.
