Jane Magnolia has huge, fragrant pink and purple tulip-shaped blossoms brighten any yard or garden. They are easily grown and are small enough that they can be planted just about anywhere reddish-purple to deep pink, 7-9 inch, goblet-shaped blooms in April-May.

The Jane Magnolia is slightly larger than the Ann Magnolia and the flowers have more petals. Additionally, the flowers on the Jane Magnolia are lighter.

Care

Low maintenance, requires regular watering when young, and benefits from minimal pruning after flowering. Prefers living in full sun to partial shade and likes the soil to be moist, slightly acidic, organic, well-drained soil. Best grown in zones 4-8. 

Growth Habit

Growing 10-15 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide, it is ideal for small gardens, often blooming again in summer.

Toxicity

While not poisonous, consuming large quantities of any plant material may cause mild gastrointestinal upset (vomiting or diarrhea). Deer resistant.

Trees and shrubs have a 6 month warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant!

Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
