Philodendron, ‘Brasil’

Philodendron, 'Brasil' can vary in size, shape, texture, and color depending on the age of the plant. Their leaves are usually green, with a streaks of lime or pale green painted through the center of the leaf. They tend to be heart-shaped the veins located on every leaf tend to be a darker green, red, or white. The emerging leaves sometimes have an orange tint. They are easy plant to care for and grow very quickly.

  • Light Requirements: Bright but indirect light.
  • Water: Moist but don't over water.
  •  Soil: America’s Gardens aroid houseplant soil.
  •  Temperature: 65-75 degrees.
  •  Flowering: Red spadix.
  •  Re-Potting: Allow enough room for growth (2-3' beyond root ball).
  •  Disease & Pest: Leaf spot, root rot (if over watered) are most common diseases. Spider mites and scale insects are primary pests associated with this plant.
  •  Toxicity: All parts are poisonous if ingested.
