Product page > Variant picker block.The Moonglow Pear, a dwarf variety originating from Maryland and it's fruit resemble that of a Bartlett pear. Unlike other pears, the Moonglow has a softer, juicier texture. Moonglow pears can be enjoyed fresh, as well as used in cooking, canning, and freezing to preserve your harvest. Its disease-resistant nature, particularly to fire blight, ensures the tree’s longevity and consistent fruit-bearing capacity.
Moonglow's are best grown in zones 5-9 and are not self fertile. Best pollinators are Bartlett or Pineapple pear trees. Mature height 5-10' & width of 8-10'. Our pear trees are 3 year trees that our sold in 5 gallon lines and are approximately 6' tall and have a trunk of approximately 2".
Because fruit trees often require cross pollination, we offer our five gallon size fruit trees at a "buy two trees and get an additional 15% off" for customers enrolled in our rewards program (excluding fruit bearing cherry trees).

For mail orders: Plants may go through shock during shipping. Upon arrival, take the plant out and water it thoroughly. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please notify us via email at sales@amgardens.com and include a photo(s) within 24 hours of plant arrival.
For in store purchases: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call us at 423-870-5000 or return the plant in its original pot/condition within 3 days. Trees and shrubs have a 1 year warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant!
Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
