A new dwarf native to the southeast US form of the popular Moonshine yarrow Achillea Millefolium), Little Moonshine is a fuss-free, heat-loving bloomer with large clusters of canary yellow flowers on narrow stems held well above ferny, grey-green foliage clumps. It is also a larval host to various moths and butterfly caterpillars, including butterflies.
Yarrow thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. It's tolerant of poor soil conditions, making it ideal for rock gardens and borders. Best grown in zones 4-8.
Compact, dwarf, and mounding shape, generally staying under 1.5 feet. Lacy, fern-like, silver-green leaves that remain in a dense clump. Tons of bright yellow umbel flowers that appear in early summer and last through late summer.
This plant is considered toxic to pets. Often ignored by deer and rabbits.
