Blue star creeper is an adorable little semi-evergreen perennial plant in zones 6-9 that makes a dense, spreading low mat of round, green foliage and equally tiny light blue flowers in spring. Perfect between and around stepping stones.
Excellent around bogs or ponds since it likes sun until afternoon (partial shade in our minds).
Spreads and grows to about 2" high and 12" wide. Blooms in late spring with little blue flowers.
Blue Star Creeper (Isotoma fluviatilis) is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. According to available information, this ground cover plant is not known to contain any substances harmful to pets if ingested.
