block.Echinacea, a North American genus in the Daisy family, has big, bright flowers that appear from late June until frost. This collection of cone flowers will certainly "catch your eye!" These single flowering varieties come in bold colors, better basal branching compared to older genetics, fairly compact, with large flowers and horizontal petals. These pollinator friendly perennials are a must-have addition to your sun garden! A tanager is a type of bird that comes in an array of colors, but most often associated with a brilliant orange red-the perfect namesake for this dramatically colored cone flower. 3½", rich tangerine orange flowers with heavily overlapping petals and dark cones is produced on dark stems above dark foliage. Noted for its incredible basal branching. Cone flowers are a staple plant to any sun-loving garden and can tolerate drought conditions. An easy to grow, native perennial.
Standing 18-20 inches tall and spreading 18-22 inches wide, Tanager is held up on sturdy, well branched stems with deep green foliage. The bright orange blooms start blooming early summer and continue to bring joy all summer long. Best grown in zones 4-8.
Coneflowers thrive in average soils or hot, dry conditions and shrug off cold. Blooms last well, cut or dried, and the seeds in the large cone at the heart of the flower head provide nourishment for birds. We recommend deadheading to increase your flower power

For in store purchases: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call us at 423-870-5000 or return the plant in its original pot/condition within 3 days. Trees and shrubs have a 1 year warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant!
Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
