block.Echinacea, a North American genus in the Daisy family, has big, bright flowers that appear from late June until frost. DOUBLE DIPPED® Echinacea have large, fully double 4½" flowers with wide, overlapping ray petals. Each variety has substantial landscape size at 2-2½' tall, perfect for the middle of the border. Strong, well-branched stems support the large, numerous heavy flowers with ease. Mounded habit of dark green foliage. Best performance comes in full sun and well-drained soils. Double pompom flowers open magenta pink before maturing to a medium pink. Flowers are produced over a large rosette of foliage with almost no exposed stem. Cone flowers are a staple plant to any sun-loving garden and can tolerate drought conditions. An easy to grow, native perennial.
Standing 22-24 inches tall and spreading 22-24 inches wide, Watermelon Sugar is held up on sturdy, well branched stems with deep green foliage. The double bloom pink blooms start blooming early summer and continue to bring joy all summer long. Best grown in zones 4-8.
Cone flowers thrive in average soils or hot, dry conditions and shrug off cold. Blooms last well, cut or dried, and the seeds in the large cone at the heart of the flower head provide nourishment for birds. We recommend deadheading to increase your flower power
