A hybrid variety of the Rabbiteye Blueberry (tolerant of the heat and drought of the South), Tiffblue are native to the Southern US and are a favorite in home gardens because of their resistance to disease and heat and drought tolerance. The plant is vigorous and productive, with the berries ripening late June through July.
Grown best in hardy zones 7-9, this plant matures at approximately 6-10' tall and 6-10' wide. Tiffblue is not self fertile so you'll want Brightwell, Climax, Premier, or Powderblue varieteies to set an ample crop of berries it's suggested that you plant in trios for maximum pollination.
Remember, the taste of fruit relies heavily in the soil that it's planted in and also the fertilization used. We recommend using organic Happy Frog Potting Soil for your planting along with either Espoma Acid Fertilizer since blueberries love acid or organic Down To Earth Acid Fertilizer.
