Bouquet Dill is known for it's feathery, dark green foliage, a central stem, and large (up to 6 inches across) yellow, umbrella-shaped flower clusters.
Requires full sun and prefers well-drained soil. It thrives in full sun and average, well-drained soil, reaching 2–3 feet in height. Ideal for zones 3–10. But again, it is an annual even in these zones that will reseed for the next season. Water dill regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially when young; let the top inch of soil dry slightly between deep waterings, and increase frequency in hot weather, watering at the base to prevent fungal issues and premature seeding.
Bouquet Dill typically reaches 30–36 inches in height and 7–12 inches in width. Known for early bolting and excellent for pickling, it is a hardy, fragrant herb that easily self-sows. Acts as a "cut-and-come-again" herb before flowering.
Considered non-toxic to pets and can even offer digestive and nutritional benefits, though excessive ingestion may cause mild digestive issues. Avoid giving pets dill pickles due to high salt and spices, which are harmful. Due to its strong scent and flavor that deer generally dislike, making it a great addition to herb gardens and alongside other plants to help deter them, although no plant is 100% deer-proof
