Growth Habit

Delta Jazz® Crapemyrtle is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth from Southern Living. Delta Jazz is disease & pest resistant, heat tolerant and reblooming. At maturity, this plant will reach 8-12' tall and 4-6' wide.

Care

This is a relatively low maintenance shrub. This shrub does best in full sun to partial shade. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is very fussy about its soil conditions and must have rich, acidic soils to ensure success, 

Toxicity

Crapemyrtle plants are not toxic to pets and deer do not typically eat this flowering plant, so it is an excellent option to include in your yard if you have a large deer population.Oh and deer do not like to snack on them!
