Product page > Variant picker block.Don Juan (originated in Italy) produces lots of wonderfully large, dark velvety-red, full, cupped, 4" fragrant blooms with 40+ petals. Don has a wonderful tea/fruity fragrance and is easily one of the finest of the red climbers. The dark green, glossy, leathery foliage only adds to the intrigue of this striking plant.
Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile in moist, well-drained soils. Very disease resistant. This continual bloomer does well in almost every zone while thriving in Zones 5-10.
Don Juan begins blooming in spring and repeat blooms during the season. There aren't many fragrant dark red climbers in the world, and since 1958, this proven performer has been the best of them. Its large buds open into tight clusters of large, well-formed, 4–5" blooms on new and old wood, so there's no need to prune off this year's flowers. It is even able to climb bare walls. Grows to 9 to 10' tall and 6' wide at maturity.
Not deer resistant. Not considered toxic to pets.

Trees and shrubs have a 1 year warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant!
Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
