Description
Otherwise known as Rose Mallow, hardy hibiscus has come along way over the years.
Midnight Marvel produces huge, pure red/burgundy blooms that are 4-5" round (starts blooming in the summer) that look amazing against the purple foliage. Since buds occur not just as at the tips, but all down the stems. Marvel gets about 4-5' tall and wide. Native to swampy areas, Marvel loves moist, rich soils, but adapts well to dryer, poor conditions. As with other varieties, Marvel loves full sun - hardy in zones 4-9.
