block.Perfect plant for small space requirements, but full-sized berries morus nigra. This dwarf mulberry is a lovely specimen tree whose fruit will keep you in jam and wine all winter long. This mulberry plant has a medium size black mulberry with a sweet tasty flavor. In pot culture it can be maintained as a dwarf with minor pruning. This ever-bearing mulberry will produce continuously in pots under warm and bright conditions. Mulberries have many health benefits, they strengthen the immune system and are good eyesight
Mulberries are easy to care for by growing in rich well drained soil in direct sunlight. Can be grown in pot. In the early spring, best to fertilize with some slow release 10-10-10 Osmocote (slow release fertilizer). They do best in full sun but tolerate light shade.
Grow it as a multi-stemmed bush or train it to a tree form. The tree may be kept as small as 2-6' tall by pruning after fruiting. Self-pollinating. Best grown in zones 5-10. Ripens in May - Summer. When your tree matures, it will be approximately 2-6' both tall & wide.
Squirrels and grasshoppers like the leaves and can occasionally be a problem. Not toxic to pets but Mulberry is not deer resistant either!

For mail orders: Plants may go through shock during shipping. Upon arrival, take the plant out and water it thoroughly. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please notify us via email at sales@amgardens.com and include a photo(s) within 24 hours of plant arrival.
For in store purchases: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call us at 423-870-5000 or return the plant in its original pot/condition within 3 days. Trees and shrubs have a 1 year warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant!
Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
