$19.99
.

Vibrant coral-orange new foliage ages to a medium green, then turns ruby red in autumn. This award-winning, compact shrub has a vigorous upright growth habit and improved resistance to rust. Use to brighten the landscape in mass plantings, as a specimen plant, or in a container.

Care
Thrives in average, well-drained soil; avoid poorly drained, wet sites. Best color in full sun. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Fertilize before new growth begins in spring. No pruning necessary except to maintain desired shape.
Growth Habit
Moderate growing; reaches 4 to 5 ft. tall, 2 to 3 ft. wide in 10 years.
Toxicity

All parts of the Barberry plant, including the flowers, berries, and leaves, are poisonous. It is important to seek medical care if your child or pet eats any part of the Barberry plant. Barberries are easy to grow shrubs that are great for adding color and texture to small spaces. These tough bushes are deer and disease resistant, salt tolerant, and low maintenance.
