One in the Confederate Series that was bred for superior heat and humidity tolerance but will also handle temps down to -20 degrees F, Stonewall Jackson is a hybrid deciduous azalea that produces super-abundant large clusters of spectacular fragrant golden-orange flowers with tints of red and pink on the petals.

Care

Stonewall Jackson is very easy to grow in moist but well-drained, humus rich soil and dappled shade or morning sun with afternoon shade. Once established it is quite drought tolerant, requiring supplemental water only during prolonged periods of dry summer weather. Native azaleas are very low-maintenance, requiring little if any pruning.

Growth Habit

Growing up to 6 feet to 10 feet in height and 5 feet to 8 feet wide, this cultivar is the largest of the "Confederate Series" azaleas.  Stonewall Jackson Azalea is a ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in partially shaded landscape borders, home foundation plants and woodland borders.

Toxicity

Azalea's are toxic To Dogs. Chewing into this plant will release these crystals causing tissue penetration & irritation to the mouth & oral cavity. Unfortunately not deer resistant.

For in store purchases: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call us at 423-870-5000 or return the plant in its original pot/condition within 3 days. Trees and shrubs have a 1 year warranty (exceptions may apply), but we highly encourage you to give us a call or email if you notice issues with your plant. We'd love to help you figure out what's wrong and save your plant! 

Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
