It is native to North America and is admired for its bright and cheerful flowers, resembling small sunflowers. Variegated Heliopsis have long been popular in the perennial landscape, and ‘Sunstruck’ fills the spaces at a much shorter height. 2” large, golden yellow flowers appear above the cream and green variegated foliage even earlier than typical Heliopsis, and blooms all through summer until fall. This is the perfect height for smaller spaces in the garden or for combination containers. From Darwin Perennials. Will bloom all Summer long. A good cut-flower and will attract bees and butterflies.
To cultivate Heliopsis helianthoides successfully, plant it in well-draining soil with good moisture retention. This plant thrives in full sun conditions and can tolerate some light shade. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage continuous blooming and maintain a tidy appearance. Best grown as a perennial on zones 4-9.
At maturity, Heliopsis helianthoides typically reaches a height of 14-16" and spreads about 14-16" in width. It forms a bushy and upright clump, making it an excellent choice for the back of borders or as a background plant in mixed perennial beds.

Orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Thursdays; if your order is placed on a Wednesday, it may not ship until the following Wednesday. During peak season there may be delays in shipping. If it is too hot or cold, we suggest ordering during milder months to ensure plants arrive in best condition.
