Considered a houseplant here on zone 7, Dischidia ruscifolia variegata, or Variegated Million Hearts is a releatively easy to grow, trailing succulent vine, closely related to Hoyas, that features tiny heart-shaped leaves with white edges. A moderately fast growing trailer with vines that can reach several feet, producing tiny white flowers and sometimes pink hues on leaves with adequate light.
Thrives in bright, indirect light and prefer to dry out between watering, making them perfect for hanging baskets with a chunky, well-draining mix. Water thoroughly but allow the top few inches of soil to dry out completely before watering again; they are drought-tolerant and hate wet feet.
Avoid contact with the sap as it may cause skin irritation in certain individuals. Keep plants away from children and pets as sap could be toxic.
Considered deer resistant.
