Columbines, the classic garden perennial, typically nod downward, but the members of the Origami series face upward, so you can enjoy their blooms as you walk through the garden. With a longer bloom time than most columbines,Origami Mix Columbine brings a copious display of color to the garden including white, pink, red, yellow, and blue flowers. Beautiful large, eye-catching, 2 to 3-inch flower blooms. Free-flowering, medium-compact plants have true, nonfading colors that bloom in late Spring and early Summer. Height & width at maturity is 12-15".
Earlybird™ Red and Yellow Columbine features bold nodding red bell-shaped flowers with buttery yellow overtones and red spurs at the ends of the stems from mid spring to early summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its ferny compound leaves remain green in color throughout the season. Earlybird™ Red and Yellow Columbine will grow to be about 9 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 10 inches.
This plant performs well in both full sun and full shade. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH.
