The showiest zinnia to come along in many a year, the Swizzle series gives you not two but three layers of brilliant color on large flowers. What's more, the plant habit is neat and dwarf, so even if you've just got a little space, you can grow a lot of color with these super-easy sun-loving annuals.
Swizzle Cherry and Ivory sports giant 3- to 4-inch blooms, packed with petals and completely covering the petite 10- to 12-inch plants. The inner circle of each bloom is fire-engine red, succeeded by a narrow white circle and tipped with a pencil-thin edging of red. It's as if the blooms are bull's-eyes.
Swizzle Scarlet and Yellow sports giant 3- to 4-inch blooms, packed with petals and completely covering the petite 10- to 12-inch plants. The large inner circle of each bloom is radiant scarlet, tipped by a generous edging of golden. It's as if this zinnia studied a blanket flower for color patterning—then doubled the petal count and bloom size.
Plant in full sun, well drained soil and if you can help it, try not to wet the foliage at night. Zinnia's are fairly susceptible to bacterial and fungal spots, powdery mildew and bacterial fungus. That's why we continue to try to sell newer varieties that are more effective at minimizing those types of problems. Minimize wetting of foliage and space plants properly to avoid disease.
Full sun annual.
Zinnias are a member of the daisy family and are safe for dogs, cats, and horses. Considere to be deer & rabbit resistant.
